Behind every beautifully arranged bouquet is something practical—a simple netting system we lovingly call Spanx for Flowers. It’s not glamorous, but it’s essential. Because much like you, our flowers face their fair share of wind, weather, and dirty looks.

We use a netting called Hortanova, a soft yet strong grid that gently guides each flower upward. When our plants reach about 12 inches tall, we stretch this netting across the rows like a quiet promise—we’ve got you. As the flowers grow, they pass through the grid, supported but never restricted (more comfortable than Spanx).
Why is this so important? One windy Minnesota day or a single thunderstorm can undo weeks of growth. The plants may survive, but their stems twist sideways. And once that curve is there, it doesn’t go away. A stem that’s grown crooked will never grow straight again—no matter how much sunshine follows.
