Our Story

Welcome to the Farm!

I understand how hard it is to find time for family amid a busy schedule.

Hi, I’m Sara.

Nurse practitioner by day, flower farmer by night.

I know how busy life gets and how hard it can be to slow down and find quality family time.

On our small Minnesota flower farm, my two daughters and I spend our evenings planting, picking, and getting our hands dirty together.

This land once grew cucumbers for a local pickle company and even grazed cows—now it’s full of cosmos and dahlias.

Come cut your own flowers, breathe deep, and experience a little summer magic with us.

Who’s Lulu?

Lulu was my grandmother. I never met her, but she lived on this very farm.

She was a teacher—one of the few women of her time to attend college—with a teaching diploma dated 1919. She and my grandpa Henry farmed this land long before flowers ever grew here.

The farm passed to my dad, who raised cucumbers for the Gedney Pickle Company for nearly 20 years. After he passed, we traded cucumbers for cosmos and dahlias—still seasonal, still fleeting, still special.

Today, my daughters help me grow flowers in the same soil. One of them even carries Lulu as her middle name.

Lulu’s Blooms is a family patchwork of teachers, farmers, and now… flowers.

Short season. A little magic.
